Impact Patch Cancuc

This patch is a true work of art made by textile artisan women from the group " Jalab Antsetik " from San Juan Cancuc (Mexico).

The weavers weave colorful cotton threads weft by weft with their backstrap belt and at the same time embroider them with crosses, stars and hearts. This technique is called "brocade technique" in Mexico. This pattern is the traditional pattern from San Juan Cancuc.

For a patch, the weavers need around 30 hours spread over several weeks.

Hints:

  • Each patch is a handmade unique piece. The pattern may therefore differ slightly from the one shown here.
  • This patch is slightly thicker, so it is better suited for children aged 6 months and older who are worn in the "toddler setting".
